About The Author: Brian

My name is Brian Stuenkel, at the time of writing this I am 25 years young.  I was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and raised in Southern Maine, Southern Utah and, Arkansas.  I am a student at the University of Arkansas and I've been climbing for about 6 years in total.
On Moonshine Roof v4, East Mountain, Hueco Tanks, Texas.
I actually got my start climbing at the little bouldering wall at my university and was so into it and was visiting the wall so frequently that the graduate student running the wall suggested we take some of the gym shoes and get outside.  Myself and a couple friends took him up on this unprecedented gesture and voila, we were climbing.
Since then, the regularity with which I climb and the intensity has ebbed and flowed over the years, seeing peaks and dips as the rest of my life dictates.  The inspiration for this blog, for myself, was a a calendar I had seen some climbers keep track of their ascents for the month/year with.  I thought this could be a way to not only keep track of my climbing but also share it with others and as of recently, use the blog as an outlet for other interests, although I'm trying to keep it as focused as possible.
My climbing career though short, has taken me to some interesting locals within the United States.  Unfortunately, I have not had the chance to venture outside the states to crush rock, but hopefully that trend won't last much longer.
I have climbed at bouldering areas, sport climbing destinations, and taken at least one traditional climbing trip.  So far, no ice.  Among the areas that I have visited are: Hueco Tanks, Texas; The St. George Area (Moe's Valley, Crawdad Canyon, Chuckawalla Wall and others) Utah; Cannon Cliff, NH; Acadia National Park, Maine; Eldorado Canyon, Colorado;  Lumpy Ridge, Colorado; Boulder Canyon, Colorado; Devil's Tower National Monument, Wyoming; Custer State Park (The Needles), South Dakota; Red River Gorge, Kentucky; Quartz Mountain and Ouchita Wildlife Reserve, Oklahoma; American Fork Canyon, Utah;
